The concept of the seafoam prince is very interesting. I also like the idea of the mermaid searching and searching, it must be so sad for her. This illustration has a lovely atmosphere that draws you in and makes you want to know more about them (and cheer them on until they find happiness). Beautiful (=
This I love very much for many reasons. To want but not be able to touch or to know that love wants to touch you. I wonder if she can see or feel him, or if she's sad that they can't be together. It is a very emotional piece. Bravo.
Sea Foam prince? Now that sounds interesting. I know the original tale like the back of my hand, so this I gotta check out.
Sadly I have no critique for this, since you are so far ahead of me in drawing. I just thing it's amazing. I adore the sketchy drawing style, and the watery colors. And the style with which you drew the mermaid's body, how long and curved it is. Love the fins on her back and arms too. And that swirling bracelet.
the analogous color scheme along with dull pops of orange work well together. I love the way that you framed the cavern/ rock formation around the characters. Even the concerned look of the seafoam prince for the little mermaid who has correlating body language to his facial expression. I also like you stylized approach of keeping the under study lines. It gives a great aesthetic quality. Over all, good job.
thanks (first i wanted to draw comic about her-she would be searching for her prince and Witch turns her into human, but even as human she could not find him so she´s turned into seafoam and after all she can meet her prince who´s seafoam too *happy end*)
