....eee.....after Hobbit movie i was waiting 4 hours for train...so i was drawing dwarves....and some goblins....but i really can't drawing "realistic fantasy art" ...sorry
Some people might look at this and think not much of it. Why because they always expect the "Realistic Fantasy" type things. But this work represents more than what meets the eyes. When I look at this, it reminds me of a father/mother back in the 8th century telling there children amazing stories of goblins, dwarves, and beasts alike. And for me this gives me a small visual on what perhaps the children would see in their minds.
As for the artwork itself. I think the idea is brilliant to have only the heroic dwarves in color. Makes it easier to understand what's going on. The sketch like feel to the artwork also gives it a nice story telling feel (Like how I mentioned before). All in all, this is an excellent piece, in which I myself would wish to acquire on as a poster.
Ahhck, I love your art so much! I first ran into it when I came across your pen drawing of Ace, and, man, you are good! I like that you did a drawing in this style instead of "realistic fantasy art," I think it looks very distinctive and the composition and visual rhythm is excellent! I think it was a cool idea to make the goblins all shadowy while the dwarves feature colorful designs. Also, the page crease in the middle makes it feel like a book illustration, which adds to the atmosphere of the scene. In some ways, the art style you used for this reminds me a little of Zelda Wind Waker's art, which is great, as that was one of my favorite visual styles ever used for a game. Anyway, excellent work, I am becoming a huge fan of your art! ^v^
XD (yop! and it´s easier for colouring when they are only grey-i don´t have patience with digital colouring ) i´m glad you like it thanks for nice comment
